These terms govern the pre purchase car inspection service provided by cardata (cardata.hu) in Budapest and the surrounding area. By booking an inspection you agree to them. They are written in plain English; if anything is unclear, contact us at info@cardata.hu before booking.
The service we provide
We carry out an independent, on-the-spot inspection of a used vehicle on behalf of a prospective buyer. The inspection assesses the vehicle's condition at the time of the visit, covering the major mechanical, electrical, structural and (where applicable) high-voltage systems, plus a diagnostic scan and a road test where the seller permits and the vehicle is road-legal and insured.
An inspection is an informed professional assessment, not a guarantee or warranty. It reduces risk by identifying faults that are present or developing at the time of the visit; it cannot dismantle the vehicle, foresee future failures, or detect faults that are not apparent during a non-invasive inspection.
Packages
Two packages are offered. The Standard Inspection (35 999 Ft) is carried out with the buyer present and includes a printed report handed over on the spot. The Digital Report Package (39 999 Ft) does not require the buyer to attend and includes a full report with photographs and video delivered by email. The scope of the inspection is identical in both packages.
Booking, access and payment
You are responsible for providing accurate details of the vehicle and its location, and for the inspection being possible - including the seller granting access to the vehicle. Prices are as stated for each package, with no hidden additions. Payment terms are agreed at the time of booking.
Language
The service is provided in English. Your inspector speaks English, the on-site explanation is given in English, and the written report is prepared in English.
Liability
Our assessment reflects the condition observable during a non-invasive inspection at the time of the visit. We are not liable for faults that were not reasonably detectable by such an inspection, for changes to the vehicle after the inspection, or for the buyer's decision to purchase. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
